Here is the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. Frankly, this is easily one of the most anticipated films of the year. In my humble opinion, Tarantino has not made a bad film yet, and it looks like he has no plans to break that mold with Django. Jamie Foxx is an interesting choice for the lead and Leonardo DiCaprio for the villain is inspiring. It seems he is really enjoying being the heel this go around. Rounding out the cast is Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, and Kerry Washington. I really enjoy the fact that after Tarantino has tackled the revenge stories of women and Jews that now black folks get their turn at bat. Definitely looking forward to this. Check out the trailer below. Django Unchained hits theaters on Christmas Day.
Synopsis: Django Unchained is set in the Deep South, and follows Django (Foxx), a freed slave who treks across America with Dr. King Schultz (Waltz), a German dentist turned bounty hunter. Together, they try to retrieve Django’s wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) from the charming but sadistic Francophile plantation owner Calvin Candie (DiCaprio) and his band of ruthless slavers.
