Paul Thomas Anderson is arguably one of the most prolific directors working today. His past work has been second to none and it looks like the upcoming Scientology related film, The Master, is no different. So far we haven’t seen a normal trailer to really let us know what the movie is about. However, we do have two non-trailers cut by Anderson himself.

The Master is a story of a highly influential intellect (Phillip Seymour-Hoffman) who begins a religious cult and uses a wayward drifter (Joaquin Phoenix) as his right hand man. When the cult starts to grow Phoenix begins to question whether or not this life is for him.

Take a look below at the two non-trailers that give a glimpse into a film that will most likely be considered one of the best of 2012. The Master hits theaters in the U.S. on October 12.
