Sam Mendes is taking the reigns in the latest James Bond outing, Skyfall, and we have seen a pretty limited amount of what is to come. However, this past weekend we got an intense TV spot for Skyfall during The Olympics. Frankly, this TV spot has really peaked my interest, even more so than the teaser trailer, but that makes a good deal of sense. With the inclusion of Javier Bardem as the villain and Daniel Craig reprising his role as the slick super spy (alliteration!!!) we might just be in for a fun ride. Hopefully, this will more than make up for the disaster that was Quantum of Solace. Does anyone even know what the hell that means? Spoiler Alert: No one does. Check out the trailer below:
The last moment of Craig arriving on the train was pure James Bond to me. With all of Craig’s movies he has been the rough and tumble physical Bond, but no quite the smooth Bond that Sean Connery was or even Pierce Brosnan. It looks like they might add a little classic Bond attitude into Craig’s character, and that’s a part that has been lacking so far. Let us know what you think in the comments.
Official Synopsis (wikipedia): M becomes the subject of a government review when MI6′s active case roster is leaked, compromising the identities of every single undercover operative the agency has placed in terrorist networks around the world. When the agency itself is attacked, it falls to James Bond to seek out and eliminate the threat regardless of the cost to himself — but as he follows a trail from Istanbul to the South China Sea, Bond soon finds his loyalty to M challenged over secrets from her past.
