Review: Oz the Great and Powerful

Review: Oz the Great and Powerful

This is the film 3D has been waiting for. Unfortunately no one told this to the writers. Have you ever wondered how the Wizard got to Oz has amassed so much power? Well Disney has decided to tell us that tale with cult favorite director Sam Raimi at the helm. Just how does a simple carnival magician put aside his greed and womanizing ways to become the Great and Powerful benefactor of a land of enchantment?

Game Review: Deadlight

Game Review: Deadlight

Tequila Works has just released its first game, and its Deadlight for Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA). For an initial release Deadlight is definitely something special. With its 2D/3D side scrolling gameplay style, Deadlight joins the likes of Limbo and Shadow Complex as the next big thing on XBLA. Deadlight breaks new ground as yet another Zombie survival horror game. With a well written and engaging story you not only want to play this game more and more, you almost feel obligated.

New Apple patent gives clues to the future

New Apple patent gives clues to the future

Apple has just purchased a patent that would allow for 3D environments on their IOS products (i.e. – Iphone, Ipad, and Ipod touch). This would, of course, be possible without glasses much like some current phones. The idea of 3D gaming on a phone is pretty amazing. Infinity Blade in 3D? Yes, please. I look forward to seeing what Apple can do with this. Side Note: I am glad I waited and didn’t buy the Iphone 4S. Just kidding, this kind of tech will most likely be a few Iphone versions away. Either way, check out the video below for some more info from Mashable:

The future of phones is here!

My guess is, we will see this tech in future phones. Minus the ridiculous size of the camera on your shoulder (pirate-parrot style) this could definitely be a cool on the go projector. Imagine a situation where you can project videos or presentations on your hand to show friends. How about hipster glasses that have depth cameras built in to do projections on the wall of your office instead of using a monitor? The possibilities are endless and equally as ridiculous! We are not far from the idea of 3D projector-able images on our watches a la The Jetsons. How amazing would that be? I am sure the level of car accidents would skyrocket…totally worth it.

Episode 06: Forty Dollars? You are insane!

This week the guys discuss the unfortunate death of Steve Jobs, Xbox360 goes TV, and Real Steel. Jay can’t wait to get rid of cable tv. Micah pays way to much for 3D. Matthew is ashamed of dancing white kids.
