Review: Wreck-it Ralph

Review: Wreck it Ralph

There are very few times that I go to the movies with my son and leave as entertained as he was. That was my experience with Wreck-It Ralph. Cameos by your favorite video game characters populate the film. From Ryu and Ken’s trip to Tapper’s for a root beer at the beginning of the film, to an out of work and homeless Q-bert, nostalgia is present in abundance.

LEGO CAPTAIN AMERICA IS A BADASS!

Lego Captain America is truly a Badass! In this brick film, Cap slaughters a shit-ton of people. The red play-doh is flying everywhere as he barrels he way through the Nazi troops. Body parts are literally taken to nubs. This film was produced by Forrest Fire Films. Take a look at their YouTube channel. They have some pretty funny stuff. Star Wars parodies and more.

Mike Mignola’s The Amazing Screw-On Head

Mike Mignolas The Amazing Screw On Head

Most of us know Mike Mignola’s work from his most popular character Hellboy. Back in 2002 Mignola wrote a comic book for Dark Horse titled The Amazing Screw-On Head. It is a comic book about a character of the same name. The Amazing Screw-On Head was an agent for President Abraham Lincoln (aka Daniel Day Lewis…jk). He was summoned by Lincoln to take on Emperor Zombie who was an occultist and former groundskeeper of Hyde park. His major ability is that he can screw on a new head to fit the occasion. Watch part one of TV pilot after the jump.
