Studios fighting over Quicksilver! Really???!!!

Studios fighting over Quicksilver! Really???!!!

Look, I like mutants and avengers all the same but some characters are just more popular than others. There are tier one characters and tier two, and then everything else. Quicksilver floats between tier two and who gives a damn territory. The twin son (his sister Scarlet Witch aka Mrs. Deus Ex Machina) of the evil mutant Magneto, Quicksilver is what comic fans call a speedster. His basic power is he can run really fast.

Comic Review: Avengers vs X-Men

Comic Review: Avengers vs X Men

There is no doubt that the constant battle between the two titans of the comic industry, Marvel and D.C., greatly influences how we, the fans, read comics today. Nevertheless, with D.C. comics gaining large strides from its controversial, yet financially successful, New 52 there was no shock to hear Marvel would try and compete. Lately, Marvel has done one event a year to garner excitement across its vast comic universe. In the past we have seen House of M, Secret Invasion, Civil War, Fear Itself, and Dark Reign to name a few.

An Idea: How Marvel could pull off a Guardians of the Galaxy movie

Now that Marvel has formally announced a Guardians of the Galaxy movie for 2014 we get our first glimpse at new characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Quick Hit: Warner Bros. knows how to piss off their fans

Quick Hit: Warner Bros. knows how to piss off their fans

Here are some quick bits of information that are coming from Warner Bros. studios. First, we are apparently going to be graced with another ramp up for a potential Justice League movie. Spare me your excitement. Warner Bros is pushing to get something in the pipeline as Disney/Marvel are moon walking all over the place with that sweet Avengers money. So instead of taking their time and building proper back stories for all the needed characters WB will just slam in some piece of junk in a few years, my guess 2015.

Review: The Avengers

Review: The Avengers

In 2008, Marvel Studios released Iron Man starring Robert Downey Jr. That movie had the now infamous after credits scene that started it all. When Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) made his surprising announcement the comic book movie genre was forever catapulted to a different level. No longer were these movies going to be one offs, but rather they would build to a large event that may be the most ambitious movie idea in years. Under the directorial control of Joss Whedon, fanboys/girls and everyone in between got to see something truly special.
