SDCC is the Line That Never Ends...EVER

San Diego Comic-Con has come and past as usual there are a TON of great exclusive statues and toys that go along with the event. Being a collector and not attending the event is a bit different though as sometimes you go through a hell worse than standing in line…

As you no doubt know from reading posts and listening to the podcasts made from SDCC (if you haven’t then I may disown you… and we were just getting to know each other) the Nerds of Poca-Lypse had a great time at this year’s Con. Well minus one thing… the damn lines. If you wanted to see anything you were waiting n a line. These weren’t any normal line, no sir. These were the kinda of lines were people were sleeping outside the day before and these lines were far too common.

The Punisher short film starring Thomas Jane

In 2004 we were treated to the reboot of The Punisher starring Thomas Jane. In short, it sucked…bad. The feel of the main character was all wrong, the story was flat and boring, and the villain was John Travolta. Sadly, the follow up starring Ray Stevenson was no better, actually it was worse. However, I did find that Stevenson played the Punisher closer to what we see in the comics than Thomas Jane. Anyway, this past weekend at San Diego Comic Con fans were given a first peak at a unofficial short film called Dirty Laundry. With a running time of 10 minutes Jane reprises his role as the Punisher.

Marvel announces Deadpool game.

Friday on our way to the San Diego Convention Center we notice a giant ad for The Amazing Spider-Man video game. Pretty cool but nothing we haven’t seen before. Today, that same advertisement was spray painted with Deadpool’s logo over it. This is some pretty cool marketing for the newly announced Deadpool game.

Marvel panel recap!

Today we stood in line for 10 hours to see what Paramount, Warner Bros, and of course Marvel Studios had to offer us this year in movie news. Unfortunately, at the end of the day we missed out on Paramount and Warner Bros due to the massive lines and our refusal to sleep outside the night before just to get a glimpse at footage of Henry Cavill without a shirt.
