Knight of the Living Death Threats: TDKR Reviews

TDKR reviews

Nerds are always arguing over the quality of comic book films. The Amazing Spider-man earlier this month elicited just such a debate. On the podcast we have taken part in many of these debates. However, rarely do you see them resort to death threats. This was not the case with the rating of The Dark Knight Rises on Rotten Tomatoes. Nerds, such as myself, are not use to anything less than an A. Well, The Dark Rises rating was a punch to the gut of oh so many over-achievers. Rotten Tomatoes reported a rating of 87 percent fresh for The Dark Knight Rises. Apparently a B+ is unacceptable in the eyes of Nolanites.

The Dark Knight Rises trailer takes us through the trilogy in style

The Dark Knight Rises trailer takes us through the trilogy in style

There have been many trailers for The Dark Knight Rises and the last full length trailer was something quite spectacular in my opinion. However, it might have just been outgunned in this latest iteration. This time around we are treated to clips from all three movies, which helps to build the suspense and tension that is coming like a freight train on July 20th.

The Dark Knight Rises final trailer is glorious!

The Dark Knight Rises final trailer is glorious!

Yesterday, we got a great TV spot. Today we get the best The Dark Knight Rises trailer yet. The score for the trailer and film are absolutely perfect. It really pulls you into the world and makes it feel real. Hardy as Bane is just perfect so far. He has a way about him that is truly intimidating. Of course, Bale is cavalier as always with his Bruce Wayne. Lastly, I have to give credit to Anne Hathaway, she has won me over so far. July 20th can’t get here fast enough. Check out the trailer below:

Its TV spot day here at The Nerdpocalypse. Here is the latest TV spot to hit for The Dark Knight Rises. We get a new bit of footage of all the bat vehicles that we know and love. Of course, the bat is featured. This TV spot really pushes up the action and makes me want July 20th to get here a little sooner. Take a look:

MTV gives us the best trailer for The Dark Knight Rises yet

MTV gives us the best trailer for The Dark Knight Rises yet

This past weekend at the MTV movie awards we got, in my opinion, the best “trailer” for The Dark Knight Rises that we have seen yet. The music really makes it. Bane and Catwoman are on full display here, and you get a good glimpse of Batman’s return. I can only assume most of this takes place in the later half of the film, but that shouldn’t come at any surprise to people paying attention. Either way, this movie is going to break some serious records. I’m not sure it will beat The Avengers, but it will come pretty damn close. Check out the footage below.

Episode 14: Dancing Superheroes combo is bad news

This week the guys discuss Speilberg’s Lincoln, IMAX prologue for TDKR, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Jay is not worried about concept drawings, Micah prefers Starscream, and Matthew wants a director to find a tripod.
