“The Suicide King”

They’re baaaaack.

The winter-premier of AMC’s the Walking Dead started out with a bang, and a punch, and a couple of kicks. Okay, so let’s get started. May the odds be ever in Daryl’s favor as the Governor and the citizens of Woodbury urge him and Merle to fight to the death.

Review: Arrow (TV Pilot)

Review: Arrow (TV Pilot)

Smallville was a highly successful, but critically panned show that chronicled the high school beginnings of Superman. In a similar vein, Arrow, follows Oliver Queen as he transitions from rich playboy to masked vigilante. Early trailers promised a much more adult environment than Smallville, comparing itself to the likes of The Dark Knight trilogy in its so called grittiness. The CW has had moderate success with its teenage/early 20s angst with or without supernatural flair programs. From Gossip Girl to Vampire Diaries the network has carved out a popular niche in television right now.

Marvel Studios making moves into television – How and Why

Marvel Studios making moves into television How and Why

It has been known for some time that Marvel has wanted to expand its ever growing popularity into television. With the massive success of The Avengers there is no wonder that they are now planning a television show set in that universe, and for the record this isn’t the Hulk TV show with Guillermo del Toro. I for one am not too excited about a Hulk TV show, for me it seems like they are just trying to re-ignite the popularity of the past show. However, I’m not so sure it will work with the level of expectation from fans after seeing The Avengers on the big screen. The cost for SFX would easily destroy the budget of the show, or worst yet having a Hulk TV show with little to no Hulk. I don’t think fans are ready to go from CGI mo-cap Hulk to a bodybuilder painted green. So this begs the question, who do you have star in a your Marvel TV show without breaking your budget or watering down your heroes?

Episode 06: Forty Dollars? You are insane!

This week the guys discuss the unfortunate death of Steve Jobs, Xbox360 goes TV, and Real Steel. Jay can’t wait to get rid of cable tv. Micah pays way to much for 3D. Matthew is ashamed of dancing white kids.
