Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje talks about his role in Thor: The Dark World

Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje talks about his role in Thor: The Dark World

In the upcoming Thor: The Dark World Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will portray duel roles as Algrim the Strong and Kurse. Not much is known in how the two characters will look or act but we do get some bits of information from Akinnuoye-Agbaje himself. He even mentions the fact that his character might be sticking around for future MCU involvement, sounds good to me! Check out the video below and find out just what Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has had to go through to bring the two character to light. What would you like to see from Algrim/Kurse? Christopher Eccleston will play Malekith in Thor: The Dark World

Christopher Eccleston will play Malekith in Thor: The Dark WorldWhen the full title for Thor 2 was announced at San Diego Comic Con in July there was a slight clue as to where the Asgardian would be going on his next adventure. That clue has now been completely flushed out of the darkness so to speak. Thor: The Dark World will take our hero to Svartalfheim, the home of the dark elves. It was announced some time ago that Mads Mikkelsen was to play the villain. However, due to a scheduling conflict he was forced to drop out. Now we are getting reports that Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) will be taking over for Mikkelson, and now we know for sure what role he will be playing. It seems Marvel is ready to introduce the villain Malekith the Accursed who is the leader of the dark elves and all around bad guy and pain in Thor’s ass.

Idris Elba: Best Actor in a Mini-Series TV Movie

Last night on the show we discussed the BBC series Luther. Ok, so I listened as Jay and Micah sang its praises. Following last night’s Golden Globes, I am sure that many more people will be watching the show on Netflix. That is because Idris Elba took home the Golden Globe for best actor in a mini-series/TV movie. If you have Netflix (let’s face it any sane nerd would) you can watch the first season here.

New picture of Captain America in action! (High Quality)

New image of Cap after some sort of battle in Marvel’s upcoming summer blockbuster, The Avengers. This goes right along with a previously released image of Cap and Thor fighting off some would be alien aggressors. No official word yet as to who The Avengers will be going toe-to-toe with. However, whoever it is is in for a world of hurt. See the new image after the jump.

Thor 2 loses Patty Jenkins as director!

Thor 2 loses Patty Jenkins as director!

Unfortunate news broke late last night. Thor 2 director, Patty Jenkins has stepped away from the project. Creative differences were said to be the reason. Marvel and Jenkins stated that the separation was amicable so no bad blood. As you may know Jenkins directed 2003 drama Monster starring Charlize Theron.

I believe that Jenkins was tapped to helm the sequel due to her success with Monster, and the potential to bring a female villain like The Enchantress to light. Sad news to hear she is gone. However, Marvel is saying that she could come back and direct a future Marvel film, just not this sequel. I am very bummed about this development. I really wanted to see what Jenkins could do.

Episode 07: I want to join this team!
