A Venom movie…

With the unprecedented success of Marvel’s big comic book team up movie, The Avengers, its no wonder other studios are clamoring to make the same movie magic happen for them. We have heard many reports that Warner Brothers/DC will be pushing up production for a Justice League movie (and solo hero movies to lead in) and now Sony seems to want to build out the Spider-Man universe. Here is what Avi Arad had to say:

Josh Trank chooses video games over comic books for his next filmDirector of Chronicle, Josh Trank, is still attached to two comic book movie projects. Fantastic Four and a solo Venom movie are still under his wing, however before either of those gets off the ground, Trank will be taking on some big villains in Sony’s video game adaptation, Shadow of the Colossus. Released in 2005, Shadow of the Colossus was highly acclaimed and immediately gathered a cult following. The game centers around a boy who makes a deal with the devil in order to bring his lover back to life. In order to do this the devil asks him to slay 16 colossi.
